Ugandans Use Black Soldier Fly To Tackle Organic Waste Crisis

Post-harvest handling is one of the major challenges facing crop production in Uganda. Farmers are using the the black soldier flies to turn organic waste into crop fertilizers. Their larvae are also harvested as a high protein and nutrition source in poultry and animal feed.
