Changing Uganda’s Unemployment Story Through Mentorship

Every year, close to 40,000 graduates walk out of Universities in Uganda. But experts argue that the majority of them lack employable skills. It is said to be the biggest cause of the nation’s unemployment crisis.

However, Boundless Minds is providing mentorship to young people which is helping them get soft skills, boosting their employability. The organization relies on programs that expose young people to real-life situations that require them to engage actively and participate in activities that build skills like teamwork, people relations, and problem-solving that are not taught in traditional institutions.

Our reporter Richard Mugambe spoke to Mark Peter Ssegirinya who is among the hundreds of young people that have benefited from the Boundless Minds program.
